Water & sanitation — Ndalani community and Green Village visionFROM THE GREEN VILLAGE PROPOSAL

WHY IT MATTERS

A practical response
to everyday needs.

The project proposal describes a semi-arid community where families and pupils travel to seasonal water sources. Reliable water and dignified sanitation can remove everyday barriers to attendance and wellbeing.

Our proposed work is shaped by local needs and the association’s commitment to school improvement and community empowerment.

WHAT WE PLAN TO DO

From intention to action.

01

Assess solar-powered atmospheric water generation with Waiea Water.

02

Develop water storage, distribution and school water points.

03

Improve latrines and handwashing facilities, with attention to girls’ needs.

04

Plan water quality testing, operator training and long-term servicing.

PART OF A BIGGER VISION

Connected to
the Green Village.

The Green Village combines water infrastructure with solar power and improved school facilities. Technical performance will depend on local climate, engineering assessment and maintenance.

LOOKING AHEAD

Progress we can
see and share.

As work moves forward, we plan to track:

  • Water quality verified through testing
  • Water points and sanitation facilities operational
  • Local operators trained and maintenance recorded

These are intended measures, rather than reported achievements. Implementation depends on confirmed funding, assessment and approvals.
